‘TiKes’ Printing Class
It is very important to learn how to print properly, not only for neat and clear legibility, but also for speed. ‘TiKes’ will be hosting an English Printing class on Friday March 23rd/2018 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm for any student enrolled in ‘TiKes’. Overview:
Everyday will begin with general conversation, perhaps about what we have learned thus far or what the children did the day before. We will then have an English activity such as playing a board game, ‘Uno’ or perhaps ‘Bingo.’ The breaks will allow the students to drink some water, use the bathroom and relax before the next class. Snacks will consist of fruits, vegetables, yogurt and juice. If the weather is appropriate we will go on outside activities, such as, using the playground, going on ‘Scavenger Hunts’, playing with hula hoops, Bean Bag Toss, Crochet Catch, Hacky Sack, Hula Golf and / or exercise games like skipping for example. We are also planning a trip to Teacher James’s garden and having an outdoor lesson. Everyone is welcomed. If we do not go outside than we will take part in making crafts or watching an English program. Each day will be a great opportunity for our students to learn and enjoy many things; after all, the day will be full English emersion giving the children an excellent chance to improve their English skills.
Course Objective:
To continue to allow my students not only to recognize many different things, but have them understand and explain their meanings. Also, teach my students to form and relate facts or opinions of what they are being taught and pronounce them in a clear phonic manner.
Lesson Plan:
Everyday a professional lesson plan will be created by myself and focus on the needs of each student by careful and experienced planning. The plans will be very progressive and will change each day depending on what material needs to be reinforced.

TiKes
Luogang is a beautiful district. It has grown incredibly fast in the last five years. Unfortunately, with this growth comes other not so beautiful thing such as inflation. Most people agree that the new metro system that has come to our neighborhood is entirely the main reason why prices of everything have soared. TiKes rent has doubled; cost of labor and supplies has also almost doubled and service costs have increased exponentially.
Therefore, I have no choice but to increase tuition fees, however, I feel it is a fair and minimal increase. The fee per lesson will now be RMB125. To make it fair I am offering anyone who pays the semester in advance (before June 30th / 2017) a 10% discount. This will make the cost RMB110 per class, which is only a total of a 10% increase.
I truly appreciate your continuing support. I know we will maintain our standards as to ensure your child’s necessary growth.

Friday Night Movie Nights
What are ‘Movie Nights?’
Every Friday night, (excluding holidays) from 6:30 to 9:00pm, ‘TiKes’ is hosting a special class for all children that are enrolled in at least one class.
The program that we will be teaching is based on the classic television series, “Little House on the Prairie.” (with English Subtitles) It is a story of the trials and tribulations of a family of five growing up together in the old West. I am sure you can find more details via the Internet.
The Class Outline:
6:30 – 7:00pm: ‘Social Gathering’ the children can take advantage of all the English Learning Material in our classroom.
7:00 – 7:15pm: English lesson describing the night’s episode.
7:15 – 7:45pm: Watch half the episode.
7:45 – 8:00pm: Snack Time and English conversation of what is occurring in the show.
8:00 – 8:30pm: Finish watching the night’s episode.
8:30 – 8:40pm: English conversation of what transpired in the show.
8:40 – 9:00pm: The children can take advantage of all the English Learning Material in our classroom.
Cost:
RMB50 per child for one night.
There is no need to pre-register for the class; we just ask that you call before you come, perhaps the night before. There is a maximum of 20 students that can attend each class.
